Step 1: Join a meeting on Microsoft Teams. You can follow the same guide to enable live captions on your mobile.
#TURN OFF LIVE CAPTION UPDATE#
This update gives you the functionality to use live captions on your smartphone. Note: Microsoft recently released an update for its mobile app for both iOS and Android. Support for more languages and accents is expected to arrive soon in the coming months.

Users with a heavy accent might not be able to achieve desired results as the feature currently only supports US English. Note: Microsoft recommends sitting as close to the microphone as physically possible in order to ensure the best results when using live captions. One only needs to select the Captions box to enable Live Captions for the live event/meeting. When en event is being created, the admin (or organizer or whoever it is), should enable the Live Caption feature. Live Captions need to be enabled by Admin/Organizer So, only when you are in a live event, can you have Live Captions feature available in Microsoft Teams. So, when a meeting is set up, and you join it, will you have the Live captions feature available. Well, it may be surprising but Live Captions feature is not available for audio and video calls on Microsoft Teams.
#TURN OFF LIVE CAPTION HOW TO#

You can then choose to loop or bounce the Live Photo too for some extra pizzaz, or if the scene is appropriate for it you can use the Live Photos feature to mimic long exposure photography, like for water shots. With this feature enabled, you can still manually enable Live Photos directly from Camera again, or disable it there again too, it’s just that whatever setting you choose within Camera app is maintained, rather than resetting to automatically re-enable Live Photos.įor the less familiar, Live Photos is a fun feature for action shots and other moments that basically animates the pictures you take on iPhone, this is done by capturing a short video before and after the photo is captured. Or, if you toggle it on, it will stay on (which is closer to the default behavior, but at least this way there’s an obvious choice). Now the Live Photos setting will stay off all the time, rather than constantly reset to turn itself back on again.

How to Preserve the Live Photo Settings on iPhone Camera to Keep it Off Basically this lets you to completely turn off the feature if you want to. Instead, the Live Photos setting will be maintained as what you last left it, each time you open the app. Fortunately there’s a solution to this, and a somewhat hidden feature allows you to take a photo on iPhone without having to turn off Live Photo every time you use the Camera app.
